Disable Built-In CD Burning in windows vista

If you need to disable Vista’s Built-In CD Burning function, here is how to do by registry editor:

1.Click the Start menu --> Run --> type regedit in the box --> press Enter.
2.navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion\ Policies \ Explorer.
3.Right click to create a new DWORD (32 bit) key Named DisableCDBurning. Then type 1 as its value data and click OK.
4.Restart your computer.
