Change the Network Location Type in Vista

Here is how to change the Network Location Type in windows vista:

1.Go to start Menu --> Control Panel (Classic view) --> Network and Sharing Center.
2.Then click on the Customize link.
3.In the new windwos, you can type in a new Network Name and change the Network Location Type such as Private or Public.

Public location means that Network discovery and File sharing is easier to discover.
Public location means that File sharing, Network discovery, and other network sharing features will be Off.

4.Click Next. IF UAC prompt, Click Continue.
5.Then you can see the setting for SetNetworkLocation. Click Close to finish.

Note: if you are part of a domain network, you will not have a customize link on your sharing and discovery page.
