I have a group of six CDF-MS files stuck in C:\Windows\winsxs\Temp\Pending Renames in windows vista. I can not delete "Pending Renames" files.
Should I do it as Administrator, or in Safe Mode, or using an MS-DOS Command Prompt. How do I get rid of them?
These files are for Windows update to do something with them
on reboot, and perhaps something about that has become corrupted, so
they are in limbo. You can't delete them because they are owned by
the "Trusted Installer" account.You can delete them via the "Trusted Installer"
route.
