Windows Audio service not running in windows 7

I had a issue in windows 7, The audio service is identified as Windows Audio Service, for whatever reason it seems to think it doesn't start when It actually is started.

I keep getting a message with the task bar icon (red circle with X) and the message Audio Service not running. But my sound all works fine. If I log out and back in the service will usually start but not on original boot.

I have tried to identify which service this is in my services list but can't really tell what it is.

After a while of tinkering I figured out that if I muted the audio and then un-muted the message would go away and red icon would be removed from the sound icon.

Now I haven't had the issue for a while now though. Perhaps an update to the drivers fixed it at some point.

Avg AntiVirus with windows 7

MY Dell Inspiron 1525 running Internet Explorer 7.0 on Vista for 1 year.

When I type in my email (Hotmal, Gmail) and other text boxes, it is very slow and misses letters, though the issue is not with the keyboard itself.

Local area connection lost

Two computers network use Ethernet switch. One computer connected to Internet via Actiontec DSL modem. No problem with WinXP but other computer using Vista x64 OS always loses "Local Area Connection". Easy solve as I since computer diagnoses and states you have no LAN and I reset. But should not have to constantly reset the LAN. Turned off firewall and still happens.

Here is how To fix this problem on Vista:

1) Click start --> Control Panel --> Network and Sharing Center
2) In the left-hand panel, choose Manage Network Connections
3) In the dialog box which appears, choose "Local Area Connections" (or whatever your connection is which handles both local LAN traffic and Internet), right-click then Properties.
4). Click Continue if you get a UAC warning, then uncheck the box beside Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6). Then OK.

It should resume the connection from Standby now.

Delete "Pending Renames" in winsxs/temp

I have a group of six CDF-MS files stuck in C:\Windows\winsxs\Temp\Pending Renames in windows vista. I can not delete "Pending Renames" files.
Should I do it as Administrator, or in Safe Mode, or using an MS-DOS Command Prompt. How do I get rid of them?

they are in limbo. You can't delete them because they are owned by

I'm experimenting a little with netcat - I want to test a bit of ip spoofing.

Because I need to bind the spoofed IP to my interface, using the ifconfig command, I try to run netcat command in linux at one terminal:

I open another terminal to run as follow:
nc -zu -s 192.168.36.xyz localhost 2000

But i get " nc: bind failed: Cannot assign requested address " message. How i can bind to spoof an ip address.

copy packet to another network card in linux

I have two or more computers running linux. One with wireless, and want to give the others wireless access by routing the traffic on the first.

I already wrote a TARGET module for iptables to change IP destination.
For example, if wlan0 is 192.168.0.1, wlan1 is 192.168.1.1, I change every packets' IP destination to 192.168.1.1, but it's not working!!
wlan1 didn't receive anything(checksum is correct). Checking /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward is 1.

I split a video stream into 2 path(load sharing), 1st path end at wlan0, 2nd end at wlan1, wlan0 and wlan1 are in the same PC. But I can't combine these 2 stream together, because the video looks not smooth.

So, I try to copy wlan1's packet to wlan0. Could someone give me a hand? Thanks

I have a laptop running windows vista. But when I make a 500 GB external drive USB-connected to the laptop, the laptop can not access. I got the error message

"F is available but the user account you logged on with was denied access."

Diagnostics message says: "Make sure you have typed the path correctly and you have permission to access the shared folder."

I don't have the required permissions or privileges from the laptop.

1. Right-click Computer > Manage > Storage > Disk Management then right-click the drive graphic > Properties > Sharing Tab > Advanced Sharing > tick Share this folder and type in a Share Name > Apply > OK.

If you need to change MAC address under linux, you can try shell script commands to do.

1.Bring down your ethernet adaptor(eth0):
/sbin/ifconfig eth0 down

2.Enter new MAC address
/sbin/ifconfig eth0 hw ether 00:AA:BB:CC:DD:EE

3.Bring up the interface
/sbin/ifconfig eth0 up
