How to Create a Custom Power Plan in Windows 7.
Click the Start Menu --> Type powercfg.cpl in the search box and press enter --> in the right pane you can find the Create a power plan link, then click it --> Select (dot) one power plans that is closest to what you want and type a Plan name for you in the box --> click Next --> Choose how many minutes to turn off display and Put the computer to sleep settings --> Click Create buootn.
Now you can find your power plan listed under the Preferred plans.

Optimize and Speed Up Windows Vista
There are some useful tips for Optimizing Windows Vista. It will make windows vista faster.
1.Turn Windows Features off.
Open the Control Panel --> Programs --> turn Windows features off in the Programs and Features section.
2.Disable windows Vista Indexing.
Open Control Panel--> Indexing Options --> click Modify in the Indexing Options --> uncheck all the checkboxes.
3.Disable Aero Theme:
Right click on the desktop --> Personalize --> Select one of the windows vista basic theme to apply.

Type "netplwiz" on the Start menu and click it --> Uncheck the “Users must enter a username and password to use this computer” box in the popup window --> click "Apply" button --> type the account name you want to auto-logon in the new dialog box --> click OK to apply.
